  8. This extension provides software-only realization of the H.261 video-conferencing compression standard. It allows bit rates of 64 Kbits/sec to 384 Kbits/sec of 352x288 pixels or smaller frames. It can be used to compress QuickTime movie files, as well as video input from cameras. This version of H.261 QuickTime Component works only on Power Macintosh computers. (You cannot send video to a 68000窶澱ased Macintosh using this method of compression.) The frame rate is dependent on the processing speed of your computer.

  12. From QTTV Broadcaster. The H.263 extension provides software-only realization of the video conferencing compression standard. It is designed for making video connections over the modem viable. As it is a QuickTime component, it can be used to compress QuickTime movie files as well as video input from cameras. The current component works only in the PowerMac enviroment. In particular, you will not be able to send to a 680XX based Macintosh. To achieve useful frame rates, Apple recommends using the PowerMac 8100/80AV or better.

  15. H.263 Decoder
  16. The extension works in conjunction with the QuickTime邃｢ TV application and provides software-only realization of the H.263 video-conferencing compression standard. It lets you decoder and watching at low bit rates but you can encode your video-conferencing in H.263 format. The H.263 decoders are PowerPC native and will only install on PowerPC machines.

  28. HDT Extension
  29. A system extension and an application to set up the boot configuration of SCSI devices. It is configured by HDT Ext. Config. This extension is also used to mount hard disk and removable drives with the Hard Disk Toolkit driver. (For HDT version 2.0 or later, this extension is called FWB Tools.)
